![]() No picture Available Steve Gray, Funeral Director/Embalmer Steve Gray has lived in Alaska since 2000, having lived in Wasilla and Anchorage during that time. He remembers Alaska from when he was in elementary and his teachers talking about a new state called Alaska. He liked the name and decided while in the army he wanted to see this place. He requested to be assigned to Alaska but was denied. Later, the series Northern Exposure prompted him to make the move here. Steve received his Associates degree in Mortuary Science from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. Steve has a 16 year old son, Kolby, who attends Northern Arizona University. Steve enjoys developing his land he bought near Big Lake, fishing at least one Halibut charter in summer as well as making it to Fairbanks. In the past, he has been involved with the Wasilla and Palmer Chambers of Commerce, Mat-Su Miners, Fairbanks Gold Panners and is an annual member of the Alaska State Fair. Though he doesn’t ponder why he likes helping families, the experience and care he gives families goes beyond expectations. |
