These prices apply to Alaskan Memorial Park & Mortuary only. They are effective as of September 17, 2008 and are subject to change without notice.
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customer. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or the other requirements mean that you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
Basic Services of the Funeral Director and Staff
Cost: $1495.00
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.) This fee includes the following:
- Personnel available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to respond to initial calls.
- The Arrangement Conference with a Funeral Director.
- Coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory, and/or other parties involved with the final disposition of the deceased.
- Clerical assistance in the completion of all paperwork associated with the funeral.
- Covers our overhead, including facility maintenance, equipment, inventory costs, insurance, our administration expenses, and governmental compliance.
Preparation of the Body
Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select funeral arrangements such as a funeral with a viewing.
If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

It is the policy of our firm to require refrigeration of un-embalmed remains. After 3 days, there will be a per day charge of $25.00.
Use of Facilities and Staff
Use of Facilities and Staff Services for Visitation: $495.00
Our services include set-up of visitation area, placement of encased remains, display of floral arrangements, supervision of and attendance during a visitation.
Funeral or Memorial Service: $795.00
Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangements at our facility or at any venue, supervision of the funeral, display of floral arrangements, and staff to assist with funeral ceremony.
Equipment and Staff Services for Graveside Service: $450.00
Our services include accompaniment of remains to the cemetery, supervision of graveside service, display of floral arrangements and staff to assist with service.
Additional Charges for Use of Facilities and Staff
- Saturday or Evening Service: $300.00
- Sunday or Holiday Service: $1000.00
- Hospitality Room Fee: $300.00 & Up
Transportation
Except for transportation of the deceased to or from an airport, all prices are for transportation within a 25-mile radius. Additional fees apply per mile in excess of 25.
Transportation of Deceased: $425.00
Additional distance will be charged at $3.00 per mile.
Funeral Vehicle (Hearse): $295.00
Additional distance will be charged at $3.50 per mile.
Family Vehicle (Chevy Suburban, seats 6): $200.00
Additional distance will be charged at $3.50 per mile.
Service Vehicle (Errand Car): $195.00
Additional distance will be charged at $3.50 per mile.
Transportation of Deceased To or From Airport: $195.00
Forwarding of Remains to Another Funeral Home
Cost: $2600.00
This charge includes removal of remains, basic service of staff, necessary authorizations, embalming, use of preparation room and transportation to local airport or other place of shipment within a 25-mile radius (excluding shipping charges and shipping container.)
This charge does not include visitation or ceremonies.
This charge applies to shipment within the continental U.S. only.
Receiving Remains From Another Funeral Home
Cost: $1600.00
This charge includes minimum services of staff, transportation from airport, and transportation of remains to cemetery or crematory. This charge does not include visitation or ceremonies.
Direct Cremation
If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are alternative containers and other cremation containers, including containers made of wood, containers made of fiberboard, and containers made of other composite materials. See descriptions below. We also offer a selection of cremation oriented caskets.
Our charges for direct cremation (without ceremony) include: removal of remains, transportation to crematory, refrigeration, and basic services of staff. The crematory fee is included.

All such containers must meet any applicable state or cemetery requirements. - Direct cremation with alternative container: $2800.00
Corrugated fiberboard container or wooden tray. - Direct cremation with casket purchased from our funeral homeL $2600.00
This cost is in addition to the cost of the casket.
Immediate Burial
Our charges for immediate burial (without any rites or ceremonies at the funeral home, graveside or elsewhere) include: removal of remains, transportation to cemetery, refrigeration, and basic services of staff.
- Immediate burial with container provided by the purchaser: $1,725.00
All such containers must meet any applicable state or cemetery requirements. - Immediate burial with minimum casket: $2520.00
- Immediate burial with casket purchased from our funeral home: $1,725.00
This cost is in addition to the cost of the casket.
Alternative Container: $200.00
